My Starfall Brings all the Boys to the Yard

And they're like, it's better than your's.
Damn right, it's better than yours!

So, 3.0.2 brings us the Echoes of Doom... which mainly consists of lag, server shutdowns, constant freezing and classwide OP.

Despite that, I love it.
My beloved Moonkin has become... a god(dess). With added buffs to party!

What? You mean people LIKE boomkins now?

Well not so much. They still want you to be feral or resto, especially since every self respecting feral or resto switched to moonkin. Why? Because they have always been the 'least needed' (I put that in quotes because I've found some boomkins more precious to group with then some restos or tanks.) ...most fun class to play, and now they have been superpowered.

So the boomkin has become the DOOMKIN thanks to EoD patch.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Summary: Genesis seemed really cool but putting the five points into Earth and Moon covers that pretty much. As stated, brambles and bees are a must for added continuous damage, and owlkin frenzy just adds to the dps and it's really neat to hear the chicken roar. It's not a cluck, it's a roar. I love it. Treants with the added help from Brambles now hit for extremely high and with interrupts make them very very useful against casters. I have always vouched for trees, but now I can't see why someone would not. Typhoon is a great pushback, does adequate damage, and is neat to watch. I like watching a group of guys fly through the air and it's good to use when your priest/resto/healshammy is getting smacked around. However, aim carefully, because if you turn on accident, it will go flying off in the other direction since it only covers the spot directly in front of you.

But I'm a girl so I don't have to worry about that ;p

What I've gotten from this: I already topped damage meters and was usually fourth out of ten in healing. Things haven't changed too much since. The loss of leather armor has made Panzerkining harder than usual. So don't expect to take as much damage as before. However, that's not too much of a problem seeing as you can usually kill things before they kill you now.

As stated, Improved insect swarm and brambles is great. Helps take out about a quarter of a foe's life. With this : Glyph of Insect Swarm It makes it rather nice.

My guild leader suggested the moonfire and starfire glyph combined - he said they are really nice for dishing out 600 or so DOT(extended). I haven't tried this because I use my moonfire as quick burst damage as well as over time damage, so I will have to check this out and get back to you.

Downfalls: The loss of Intensity has brought up the past a bit... I am now an O_OMkin.
Without the added boost of mana, thanks to the resto tree, and the addition of the new spells, even if moonkin form does add a bit to the pool every crit cast, I still find myself drinking after every battle. (If I'm lucky it's after every other battle.) However, the cooldown taken away from Hurricane (THANK YOU BLIZZARD GODS) has made us viable AOE dps.

However, the overconfident tanks don't really pay attention to this. They RUSH into battle (as per their nature) and gather up every bird beast and man in the room ... while you are flapping your wings like a sorry chicken, still sitting on the floor with the priest, trying to refill your lost bar of blue.

"I... can ... DO THIS!" They yell. Yeah... wipe.

    Well... nobody's perfect.

And once they are down, every bird beast and man flies after the priest who was trotting up as fast as thier legs/hooves/toes could take them, only to find a mob stepping on the corpse of said overconfident tank.

And the typical good boomkin, created to save lives, jumps in between and uses
Typhoon and Force of Nature and Barkskin and Moonfire Moonfire Regrowth Moonfire Hurricane ... Starfall!

Which takes a huge amount out of their life... but...

With less armor, you aren't as tough as before. You have softer feathers now, unfortunately. Those punches hurt!

I've found Typhoon helps create some amount of aggro, which is sometimes nice, sometimes not so nice, but Starfall....

Now, don't get me wrong, I love Starfall. I LOVE IT.

But when you are blowing through Karazhan, and are doing great and Dorothy and Tin Head and Roar are getting pummeled and you want to help out by sending a flurry of stars to slam them on their head in a huge mass of seizurific fun for the whole family...

Think twice, because the whole family might just come in and join you. As they did here:

    Starfall? Whoops? What?

Yes, not once, but twice did Starfall pull guys from THE OTHER ROOM. The first time, it pulled from DOWNSTAIRS. Yes, the mobs ran UPSTAIRS FIVE MINUTES LATER and ganked us all. Quite a surprise. I didn't know it had been me, and we are all still kind of curious what did it, but I realized that the second time, when the whole audience came through the door to join in the fight.... I had used Starfall both times.

So, to all you oldkins and newkins out there (or should I say, nukins) Take extreme caution while trying this at your home raid.
It may just bring all the boys to the yard.

I'm sorry. I've been playing Pony Island.

    Because Ponies are manly.

    Luck of the Drop

So... a lot has happened since my last post. I haven't updated much because I figure, few read this blog.
    Anyway...where to start.
I graduated, with two degrees, and moved to continue schooling. I'm currently looking for a job (again) after finding another job, then having the pleasure of moving from it.

My druid is feral as of right now, apparently I may be offtanking for Kara and I've been told druids need around 18000 armor and 419 defense rating. Well I have about 17000 armor and 370 defense rating, and 25% dodge rating.
I have a fair amount of epics but they are mostly the rogue drops that no one wanted. I do have Staff of the Forest Lord And Vestments of Hibernation among my slew of Kara rogue gear. Forgive me for being a noob, but I don't know how to link things correctly just yet. It's 2:26 am, so cut me a little slack ;) I'm tired.

We cleared everything in kara up to Prince but Prince's bad luck (or good luck on his part) ruined us. We had overlapping infernals and I don't care what people say, this fight is hugely based on luck of the drop. (not draw.)

There were two points where infernals literally overlapped eachother. All five of them.
And the tank was boxed in with Prince and when we tried to move out of the way, we all died.
And it was done in just a way that we couldn't see it coming till it was too late.
However, we got him down to 8 percent which is good considering most of us were on alts or other specs and the rogue a guildie brought along was in mostly level 60 greens *wince*.

    Dead.

    Dead

    And uh...
    dead.

The other night however, after downing all of Kara on our mains (and me as your resident Boom) (that sounds worse than I expected,) went on to try mag for the first time and did fairly well and would have had him had one of the guild members who chose to call out cubes try to explain the next phase of the fight whilst forgetting to call out cubes. However, we all ended on a high note and it was all in good fun (which is great because wow gets too serious sometimes.)

Remember guys, always CLICK YOUR CUBES AT THE RIGHT TIME.

Anyway, I would write more, but the resident priest living here needs his sleep or he'll QQ till the sun comes up.

Take care, and remember, Always click your cubes at the right time.

    Lucy!!! Call your friends!!!

Before I begin, a note on:
The semirecent parade in Uther's Shattrath City

No one knew what was going on. It was a line of people who walked constantly around shattrath for about an hour. Can you tell how bored in life some of us really are?

    ---------
    Prince Caspian

Let me just say, I like the Narnia movies. And the idea of God being a big lion instead of a human being appeals to me a whole hell of a lot more than what I got fed in catholic sunday school. I know a lot of people would think that weird. Well, too bad. Like Lucy, I like living among the non people.

I did some dailies. Nothing special since finals are ending this upcoming week and my graduation is in four days.

Prince Caspian wasn't as good as the previous movie. Very few can best their predecessor anyway; however, there were many great one liners and of course, my very favorite part in the movie that had me and my boyfriend laughing for longer than we should have and people looking at us funny.

    "LUCY! CALL YOUR FRIENDS!"

    I know it's been a while...

I know it's been a while, folks. Don't have too many that read this blog anyway so I haven't as much of a desire to post happenings here as much as other places.
My boyfriend got laid off from his job right as I got my crappy one, so it's been hard. We almost broke up but are patching things up and I am graduating this month and moving in two. It has been a very hard few months and I hope you understand.

Yes I have been playing WOW, Mikaél is getting near 40 now, Raffa is nearing her epic flying mount, Magdalené is about... 18 I think? and Ehli is almost 61. Other than that, not much WoW for me. Getting ready to yet again switch guilds with Raffa. I also got Raf's first piece of Vengeful (the kilt) the other week, but then missed arenas this week. Totally escaped my mind, have so much to get ready for and do that I just haven't been able to put the effort into wow as usual.

I will post again, soon :)

    Update

    It's JAYZUS!!!

Quick update .. well not so quick but you know...

Haven't had a ton of time to update at all, my apologies, but life kind of got in the way and the little I played wow I just did tiny humerous stints, so again, nothing really of full value to post here.
I had an interview for a job, which I don't want and will pay me less, but it's the first interview in a month (or almost a month) (a month by tuesday) since quitting my last job, and it sucks, but that's the job market today. I'm just going to have to buck up and bear it till I transfer to so. cal.
However, aparently my body didn't agree, since right after the interview, within about an hour, I came down with the flu. Not kidding. It started a little before the interview, and I thought it was stress. I wasn't stressed about the interview itself, just everything. Well I got really sick. And I'm still really sick, and my second interview is on thursday. I hope I'm not still sick then. Anyway, here's my usual bit of pictures and explination of what went on since Mag's last run.

And she swims and she swims

My boyfriend got on his druid and we did a bit of questing in the ghostlands and surrounding area. We were going to name ourselves Beauty and Beast, but we'd already made up these names and didn't feel like shelling out the 10 or 15 to change them.

Ok, she could totally be my mother.
"Mother, why must you always treat me this way?"
She tells me to go kill some dwarf lover of some blood elf guy. "Oh if only it had been an orc!" She tells me.

I wonder if he sees me?

Red and I got seperated for a bit (mainly he was playing catch up to my mage (and he still has to...I'm 16 now and he's still 14).)

He didn't need that arm. (He doesn't use it to please his elf lover anyway ;p)
I killed the gay lover dwarf of the elf guy outside. I don't remember his name. Too many men run into my life, what can I say?
After getting to about 15 (I think?) I logged and got on my druid, Raffa.

    What you can't see me???
I got sat on by a clefthoof. Well. Sorta. I'm somewhere in there. Trying to farm clefthoof in Nag.
The drop rate makes me want to cry. Moontears!!!!

Then I fell off the Telaari Basin. Thank God I'm a druid. However I fell this far before I realized I was a druid again and changed into a bird. lol ;p

Look at that. CERTAIN DEATH. Even has the thorns at the bottom and trecherous waterfall to boot.

And the smokey falcon dives down deep to capture the swift Telaari salmon...

I did some quests for the Consortium because honestly, once I got my kara key, questing seemed to stop for me altogether. It's why I'm constantly broke (other than recently taking up leatherworking and getting to 370 to make the boomkin stuff.) During this I tried to go into the Oshu-gun crystal. I believe that is it's name. However, I only got about a yard into it, because the music scared me too bad. I kept asking in guild if anything would come out and eat me. They told me no, 'not unless you have the quest for it'. Well, honestly, I don't know if I did, and I didn't want to stick around to find myself between the incisors of some very unseeming beast. So as soon as I busted out of there and killed the consortium bad guy of the day, I found our good old elite white clefthoof Banthar. I asked a guildmate if I could solo him. He said probably, and joined me if I died and needed help.

    What became of Banthar.
He actually put up quite a fight. (Mind you this was when I was specced Swiftkin and not my usual Boomkin spec... so no trees *cry cry cry*)
...Now yes. Some people do not like trees. It is annoying when they have three people to attack and they just sit there. However, I used to play a hunter (I still do, but rarely) and I remember pets being more annoying to control (this was before they fixed them however.) So seeing the tree go off to the off target sometimes doesn't really bug me. And if they don't move, I move, so that eventually they stick to something. Honestly, I love my trees. They have saved my ass on numerous occasions.

Redbull jumps over my head. Redbull takes the deathdive off of the Elrendar River cliff (I believe that is it) I was there to get my mage quest done. Mind you, you cannot do it on top of the waterfall, even though it looks like you can. You have to go all the way to the bottom. Is that lame? yes it is. As you can see, Redbull got 9 out of ten points by the Board, and I got 1 out of ten, as well as a broken leg. He recieved the gold medal and will be appearing in next months "Got Milk?" ad.

Drinking is bad for you. Sometimes.
    (Sometimes it's...)

Oh, I finally sold enough small eggs to make some gold. I have no idea, but small eggs sell for a shitload of money on this server. (Mag's on The Forgotten Coast pvp if you were wondering) I got myself a new smokin' dress. And they said I wasn't dressed for the party. Pff.

    Nerubians make nice pillows.
I killed some guards and eventually downed the boss, with thanks to an orc hunter. I also eventually downloaded the questhelper mod, which if you haven't, I suggest you do so here.
This is more important if you have levelling toons, if they are 70 it is still helpful, but less so.

YEAH SEXY BROWN DRESS. (this was my dress before hand) If only I could really sew stuff like this. Yea right, just 'cause I'm a girl doesn't mean I know how to sew. The most I ever sewed in my life was a tote bag. With parrots on it. And some bloomers. I think they had blue flowers. Can't remember, I never wore them. Gave them to the Goodwill.

The thing I don't like about the horde side is linen cloth drops so sparingly. I spent most of my precious small egg gold getting up my tailoring only to give up altogether and buy the new dress you see before this picture.

    DON'T NERF TREES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(sorry for the bold, it wont let me edit this no matter what I do ^^')
I must say this, because the lifebloom nerf sucks. I have been a tree. It's not that easy. Compared to being a priest or pally healer. You kidding? And I am usually a boomkin. I use my lifebloom. I help keep the tank alive in kara. I use it in battlegrounds and arenas. Do you see me winning with major numbers? No. (Oh lol I must take a picture of our arena names ;p) At best our 2v2 got to 1600. Right now it's faaar below that. Something like 1300 or 1400. I don't even know. We got in this stint to keep going after we were doing pretty good. We had like over 50 matches, but now like, our score sucks. And did I ever yell at my bf every time we lost! LOL! "YOU DAMN SQUISHEE! WHY DO YOU KEEP DYING???"
    "WE SHOULD BREAK UP!"
You know what, WOW is really not too great for a relationship. It helps sometimes. Just... please take my advise and do not go into the arenas for 2v2 with your significant other. They will become your insignificant other, and you will hate them, loathe them, unless you win. (If you win, you will probably have one hell of a night afterwards.) ... So boys, if you want to make your wow lady happy, FIGHT LIKE THE MEN YOU WERE MADE TO BE!!! (Or tonight you feast in hell and all that yadda yadda.)

We did a Three vs. Three with a friend of ours and lost every single one of the ten battles we played. I can tell you right now:
A feral druid, a priest, and a boomkin is NOT a viable arena team. I knew we'd lose, we did it more for fun. (I also thought that arena points stacked, well no they don't, silly me.) I didn't think we'd lose EVERY BATTLE though. And we were all pretty well geared. And the feral was in all season one gear.

It got to the point, my boyfriend, on his priest, would just start levitating and walking out onto the battlefield by himself. The feral yelled out "HEYA IT'S JEYZUS!!!" over vent and it was the funniest damn thing ever. And yes, Jesus got crucified, over and over and over. We couldn't save him. What bad cherubim we are. (See it was all set up, we had the eagle and the lion, we just needed a tree druid and a tauren to finish off the man and the bull cherub.)

Oh and I found these people levitating in the hall. My bf's priest joined and well, it was then and there that I learned boomkins can kneel.

My boyfriend is the guy with the little halo on his head that looks almost identical to the guy with the red staff. Say hi!

Getting back to Magdalené, remember how I said I loved Rping with her in my head. Well. I had an actual run in with an Rper on a PVP server. I would expect this on an RP server, but even there I never saw it the limited times I went to see them.
Basically I was killing murlocs along the shore when a warlock came up to me and asked if I was "going to kill Mmmmggurrrgle" I can't replay this. I really can't. They spelled Mmmmgrrrrgle correctly. Perfectly. As you see I cannot. "Then we shall help you then" After that was done I said I wasn't there for Mmmgurrrgle (still can't spell it) but was there for the armaments that were stolen. "Indeed" I was told and like whenever there was a problem the person would speak to me ((like this)) normal, but then would go back to rping. I tried to play along but I gave up eventually. It was a pvp server. The other person who had joined a while back in the party listened silently and after a while we whispered eachother like "WTF is GOIN ON?"
However, the Rper eventually just followed suit with us and apparently had moved from an RP server to this one. However, this one was their home server?? It was very confusing. They were very nice however, so I added them to friends. (I know them is the wrong context, but I don't want to type out he/she...too lazy ;p)
It was just a very odd experience.

Lastly I started another shaman. I have started many shamans. I had a troll at about level 18 once. However, I have quit most of them and started another one. I almost named her Cujo. However, no one seemed to get the joke so I named her Balto. The guild still never got the joke.
    Hello? Wolf? Balto... Cujo...Hel-Lo?
Do I have to name her White Fang for it to be obvious???
I have to say, these quests you do for the furbolg are awesome. I don't remember doing these on my draenai pally, but they were kick ass. Look! I have wings.

Don't ask me what it is.

Nothing is cooler than being a ghost panther. Ok. Nothing. Even being feral on my druid for so long, it didn't top this, even though the panther skin is uglier than the ne druid catform.

Well that's about it. I did heroic mech the night I got horrendously sick and almost didn't get to finish it. We finished it just fine, but I felt ten kinds of aweful. I'm feeling a little better now, enough to sit up and do this, even though I've been in bed most the time and it's hard to sit up and eat and stuff. We'll see how I do tonight and tomorrow morning though, those are the worst for me. I get so little sleep cause it hurts to do anything >_< . Well off to take my meds and get back to bed. Take care all.

    Mage-Delené

So... after speaking with a mage and a rogue... I scrapped my red-headed bombshell for a blonde version.

As you can see behind me, I'm not the only one with this idea. ;p I found her much more entertaining this time around, so I didn't miss the death of the original.

I did die more... twice to be exact, but I leveled faster, and found a shortcut to get to the city from the starter town.

My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out just what this place was across the oceanic area; turns out I was correct (I win!) and it was just the back of the city.

Did the usual questing and found a guy with a mauled head. Well it appeared to be that way. Viscious flying fishes.

I got in a fight with Solanian. We broke up last night.

I just don't understand. The guy blames me for everything. He keeps pointing at me over and over and yelling. It's not my job to keep track of his stuff!

So I cut him loose and cheated on him with the guy at the gazebo.

It was a short fling with Helion, but I got some clothes out of the deal.

    Don't I look gorgeous?

Then, sad and lonely, I went to sit by myself for a drink and chatted with the bartender.

She really doesn't talk much you know; hell of a listener.

I then went over to help out that chic in the scar area and got chased by about 6 rotting dead guys. I know I'm hot, but there comes a point...

Needless to say, I survived. They did not.

Once I hit about 7 I went to the city and that was that.

...Now I know why people love to RP.
*Note: I am a closet nerd. But I am not an Rp er. This is a PVP server ;p I just got really friggin bored by myself doing starter quests all over again. So I took pictures and ran with the idea, which was actually my boyfriends, who started with "Looks like you are fighting with the guy (solanian)."

After about an hour of that, Raffa went on to do a heroic with the guild, which we didn't finish due to the fact that my boyfriend can't heal. (j/k) But the clothies kept wiping out, so after the second boss we called it.

(See the purple staff? That's me!)

Slave Pens. ew. (There I am again, as something else ;p)

Anyway, it's been a fun blast of posting screenshots but I have to get going (MAJOR PSYCH TEST TODAY!!!)
    Take care all
